Tamhnach Welcome

The name Tamhnach is an ancient Gaelic description for a place of respite, an oasis - or as in its more literal translation, an island of firm land in the midst of a surrounding bog.

Imagine visiting such an oasis... Imagine stepping into a sacred healing space - away from your busyness, the relentless demands of every day life, your doubts and fears, and the chaos of the world; and get a new perspective. A place where the only rhythm is the one best known to all of us – the heartbeat.

We are an international Charitable Trust (CHY 17547) which facilitates places and processes of quiet and counsel. Our care is participatory and the outcome of our work promotes personal and communal transformation for the common good. The Foundation is in appreciation of slow; and we believe in ‘less is more’.

Our main registration is in Ireland where we were founded amidst pain and vision. As our community of care grows, so our innovations and synchronicities with like spirited people expand.

The Foundation’s value-add is grounded in high ethics, compassion for earth and her people, thorough facilitation methodology and entrepreneurial commitment.

From our experience true transformation in  individuals and groups requires the engagement of both heart and soul; aided by the adoption of  holistic decision making.
