Join us for a special morning

Take time-out for some now-time;

come and rest in the calm of an oasis – and  create a mandala...

The Tamhnach Foundation invites you to take a brief respite from the busyness and madness of life; to come and pause in a calm oasis in the centre of bustling Dublin.

A time to reflect and an opportunity to feed your soul.

Where:  Pastoral Centre, St. Teresa’s Church, Clarendon Street, Dublin 2

Time:  10h00 –13h00

Tamhnach Women's Journey - I am Balance

Posted in Category(ies):  Womens Journey
Saturday 25 July 2008

During the weekend of the 25th July the second wisdom circle of the Tamhnach Foundation's women's journey - Filling your cup - took place at Headfort School in Meath.

The creation of Tamhnach's women's wisdom circles follows many years of research and development by the facilitators. This experience combined with Ria and Grainne's passion for women culminated in the first women's journey: "Filling your cup". A typical journey will consist of a number of circles; each of the circles will be presented under a specific theme.

The Circle provided a safe, sacred space for the participants to be and explore.

Participants scored their circle experience as follows (detailed scores are attached at the end):

£ Quality of the approach and experience

90%

£ Contribution to your personal awareness and development

85%

£ Your interest to continue with the women's wisdom circles

85%

Participants responded:

The most exciting learning from the circle - 'the value of balance to my wellbeing. Subtle insights also come in between sessions, 'when not expected. I feel energized after all the shared learning!'

In search of our own Tamhnach

Posted in Category(ies):  The place

During the past couple of months we have been very busy looking at possible 'places' of quiet and council! Some of the places simply arrived on our way and others we found while travelling around the country. And of course, there is the someone who knows someone who knows someone....

We have met the most amazing people on this journey, seen the most amazing places and spent many a night reflecting on the pros and cons. Ultimately we know that we will know when the place is right.

At this stage we are looking at a 'permanent' interim haven with the possibility of growing into and settling in the place over time.

Hopefully we will be able to report back soon!

Castle Leslie - Filling your cup

Castle Leslie Women's Wisdom Circle

6 - 8 June 2008

Tamhnach

During the weekend of the 6th June history was made when the first circle of the Tamhnach Foundation's women's journey - Filling your cup - took place at Castle Leslie in Monaghan. The theme for this first wisdom circle was 'I am'.

The creation of Tamhnach's women's wisdom circles follows many years of research and development by the facilitators. This experience combined with Ria's passion for women culminated in the first women's journey: "Filling your cup". A typical journey will consist of a number of circles; each of the circles will be presented under a specific theme.

The Circle provided a safe, sacred space for the participants to be and explore.

Participants scored their circle experience as follows (detailed scores are attached at the end):

£ Quality of the approach and experience

94%

£ Contribution to your personal awareness and development

90%

£ Your interest to continue with the women's wisdom circles

91%

When asked about the most exciting insights/learning from the circle the participants answered:

"That I am the master of my life and to now take responsibility for who and what I am. No more blame or excuses. I can be what I am."

"Adjusting my expectations; releasing the urge to control (day schedule, meals); the importance of active listening and the value in it to gain wisdom."

"The circle of life - huge potential. Walking on stones with eyes closed, amazing shift in paranoia."

"Rediscovered living in the moment again."

"Sharing, at ease with women in circle."

"Experience in the woods Saturday night when I had the vision."

"The journey on Saturday - " I got so much out of it - about ME and what I have to do."

"Learning I have been going through life maybe not noticing what is right before me all along."
