Ria Wiid

Ria Wiid from Tamhnach FoundationRia's business career spans over 25 years and she has spent time in both corporate management/executive positions as well as consulting to businesses on strategy, change management, customer value management and strategic marketing. She approaches every day with a combination of skills she learnt in business and her deep experience of life.

During a large part of her working career she struggled to keep a healthy balance between her work and life. When her oldest child (daughter) was only 2 years old she was diagnosed with a rare and serious form of Ovarian cancer. Fortunately the disease was discovered relatively early and after surgery, chemotherapy and a holistic approach to healing (visualisation, meditation, diet, spirituality) she won the battle.

After her brush with death she still did not get the message about what is important in life. Some ten years ago - during one of the family holidays in Ireland - she and Joseph met two gifted faith healers. This meeting marked the beginning of an amazing spiritual journey for her.

Through years of personal struggle with infertility, recurring miscarriage, cancer, moving countries (twice), living far away from family, the ups and down of a 20-year marriage, her teenager falling prey to bullying, and losing her husband to cancer she gained invaluable experience in how to cope with and approach life. This has also taken her to a place where she knows what is important in life!

During a two year period in Greece a hunger for in-depth studies (with a focus on women and relationships) began. She was privileged to meet one of her favourite teachers - Beth Moore - in person.

Three weeks before her husband passed away she joined a Croi trek to Everest Base Camp. He was meant to join her on this expedition but fell ill shortly before the scheduled departure. She tackled this challenge alone and the experience was to change her life forever.

During the past couple of years Ria has been blessed to learn in the presence of amazing teachers: Franco Santoro, John Grinder, Richard Bandler, Michael Carroll and Caroline Myss.

Ria is a master practitioner of NLP, has completed the Fundamentals of Psychosynthesis, and is committed to developing in the areas of counselling, coaching and holistic healing. During her spare time she loves to travel to interesting places.
