The Place
Part of the Tamhnach vision is to create a physical place where all aspects (ethos, process, values, nature love, soul) can come together and be practised as a whole. In this regard we are employing the principle of "form follows function" (Louis Sullivan, 1896); and that when the time is right, the place will be able to give full outward expression of the internal oasis the Foundation hopes to create.
We are seeking to establish an inspiring, nurturing, nature integrated, organic retreat centre – built with eco-sensitive design principles with energy efficiency, resource utilisation and self-sustaining living. The centre is to ideally blend into its surroundings with planted roof, colours, size and profile - to be almost indiscernible from a distance.
Land requirement
We are seeking like-spirited people to team their land custodianship with our vision and resources in mutually beneficial ways. The Foundation’s core business is to invest in the centre and its operation. If we share land, we will gift the centre to the land owner in exchange for long-term use of the centre.
The centre should ideally be within maximum three hours’ drive from a commercial airport.
